Jake Peavy Gets Half A Gold Glove

This play clinched it
So this is a pretty good day for Jake Peavy. First he signs a two-year deal worth $29 million to stay with the White Sox, and then he finds out he's won a Gold Glove.

It was announced on Tuesday night that Peavy and Tampa Bay pitcher Jeremy Hellickson tied for the Gold Glove Award this season.

So Peavy pitched over 200 innings, signed a contract extension while giving the Sox a hometown discount, and won a Gold Glove.

He's the new Mark Buehrle! Let's get him a giant truck.

It's the first Gold Glove of Jake's career, and he becomes the third Sox pitcher to win one, joining Buehrle and Jim Kaat. This is also the fourth straight season that a Sox has won a Gold Glove.
