| This play clinched it |
It was announced on Tuesday night that Peavy and Tampa Bay pitcher Jeremy Hellickson tied for the Gold Glove Award this season.
So Peavy pitched over 200 innings, signed a contract extension while giving the Sox a hometown discount, and won a Gold Glove.
He's the new Mark Buehrle! Let's get him a giant truck.
It's the first Gold Glove of Jake's career, and he becomes the third Sox pitcher to win one, joining Buehrle and Jim Kaat. This is also the fourth straight season that a Sox has won a Gold Glove.
