At least for tonight and the rest of this season anyway.
After falling behind the Athletics 3-0 in the first two innings the White Sox went about solo homering their way to a victory.
A.J. Pierzynski cut the lead to 3-1 in the second.
Alexei Ramirez made it 3-2 in the fourth.
Dayan Viciedo tied things up in the seventh.
Then Jordan Danks hit his first career homer in the bottom of the ninth to walk it off.
Screw your fundamentals and you're station-to-station baseball, dingers are more fun!
As for Gavin Floyd, while he started off rocky, he did get his act together and pitch into the seventh inning without allowing another run after the second inning. Still, it was the bullpen that finished things off with three scoreless innings from Leyson Septimo, Jesse Crain, Matt Thornton and Brett Myers.
But obviously the moment to remember was Danks' home run. So we shall let it live in GIF form for eternity.
