Paul Konerko Has A Mild Concussion
Following tonight's loss Robin Ventura revealed something that the White Sox hadn't mentioned before Thursday's game.
Paul Konerko wasn't scratched from the lineup with a stiff back, as was originally reported. No, after the game Ventura said that Konerko had a mild concussion.
Now, as for what this means for the future, I'm not sure. Concussions are tricky things, and it's possible Konerko will be fine for Friday's game against Oakland.
I mean, this is a guy who has taken fastballs to the face before and only missed time because his eye was swollen shut.
At the same time, though, you can't be sure with a concussion. It's possible Paulie could become the first White Sox player to take a stint on the 7-day disabled list that MLB created for concussions this season.
We'll just have to wait and see.
