Orioles 5 White Sox 3 : This One Was For The Birds

I don't have a lot of time to recap this game thanks to work, but this game doesn't deserve much of a recap anyway. Jose Quintana looked great against the first eight batters he faced and then the wheels came off.

A flurry of home runs and doubles quickly followed and the Orioles took a lead they'd never relinquish.

As for Quintana, he's starting to become a bit of a concern.

Including today's start he's now 1-2 with a 4.94 ERA since July 24 (7 starts). What's even more alarming is that Quintana has walked 15 batters in those 40.1 innings after walking only 13 in his first 72.1 innings (12 starts).

Jose just doesn't have the kind of stuff to give opponents a free pass and get away with it. He's never pitched this many innings in a season, and with September call ups looming, you have to wonder if the Sox may want to give him some extra rest before his next start.
