White Sox 8 Twins 2: They Sweep Us, We Sweep You

"So this is what run support feels like?"

That's what Jake Peavy is thinking to himself after the Sox scored 8 runs for him on Wednesday -- and 26 runs in the three game series -- and finished off a sweep of the Minnesota Twins. To put that 8-run tally in perspective, the Sox had only scored 11 runs in his Peavy's last 7 starts.

The Sox took advantage of a Nick Blackburn who has only been nothing but kind to them this season, with Dayan Viciedo having the most fun. Dayan finished a triple shy of the cycle and had another 4 RBI on the day.

His time out in left field wasn't nearly as fun, but luckily he wasn't seriously hurt while diving for a ball.

Not everyone left this game unscathed, however, as Kevin Youkilis left in the fourth inning after spraining his left ankle. Whether or not that injury will cost him any time, we'll just have to wait and see.

All I know right now is that the Sox have the day off tomorrow and I know I could use a night off from the White Sox. It'll be their first day off in two weeks, and considering how most of that two weeks has gone, I'll gladly take the 48-hour break.
