Poor, Jake Peavy.
According to the South Side Asylum Pitchers Poll, he's the best pitcher on the White Sox. Yet, here he is, up against the entire nation of Japan in the final vote to make the All Star team while Chris Sale has his spot on the team secured.
I doubt our fans can give him the run support he needs, either. But at least he knows he's on top of the Pitchers Poll? That's probably worth more to him, anyway.

There really weren't any changes this week, other than Leyson Septimo joining the fold. Whether or not I'll have to add Brian Omogrosso to the rankings next week we'll find out.
Other than that Jose Quintana's quick climb came to an end in New York and Gavin Floyd destroyed a great start against Minnesota with a mediocre one in New York.
Last week's rankings can be found here.

Any thoughts on when Sale might hit a wall?
ReplyDeleteI don't know how many innings he threw in a season in college, but I doubt it could be much more than he's done so far this season.
DeleteHe's likely (hopefully) going to surpass the 100 innings mark tonight, so I wouldn't be shocked if he hits that "dead arm" phase sometime in the next few weeks.
