We Have Seen The Last Of Will Ohman
Wednesday was an outing that sums up Will Ohman pretty well. He came into the game in the eighth inning with the Sox sporting a 12-2 lead. He promptly proceeded to walk the first hitter he saw and then gave up a two-run homer before getting out of the inning. In the ninth he made sure to load the bases with one out before finally putting an end to the game.
And now it seems that outing may have put an end to Will Ohman as a White Sox reliever.
Though the team hasn't made an announcement about it, the Sun-Times' Daryl Van Schouwen tweeted this after Wednesday's game.
Generally when the player says it, it's true. As for who the Sox will be bringing up to replace Ohman with in the bullpen, I don't know.
I just know that it won't be Will Ohman, and that's more than enough for me.
Farewell, Will.

I would imagine that Danks gets reactivated (at least, at some point) and Axelrod or Quintana gets shuffled to the bullpen.
ReplyDeleteWhen Humber comes back, then Axelrod probably goes back to Charlotte.
Now that I think about it, if he's not on the Sox, I hope we see A LOT of Will Ohman.
ReplyDeleteQuintana to the bullpen? Let's see him give up an earned run this month first.
