Week 7 Pitchers Poll: And Here Comes Chris Sale

Snoop did not break into the rankings this week, though his first pitch was better than many Sox hurlers threw
Just last week I wrote that Jake Peavy was likely out of reach to the rest of the pitchers on this staff. Well, apparently Chris Sale took exception to that.

He also took advantage of a couple of bad Peavy starts and a Rays lineup filled with guys you've never heard of.

Unfortunately, he was the only real climber this week.

RANKPLAYER POINTS LW+/-
1Jake Peavy 115 1 8
2Chris Sale 98 3 36
3Gavin Floyd 75 2 0
4Phil Humber 42 4 0
5Nathan Jones 39 6 7
6John Danks 34 50
7Addison Reed 29 73
8Hector Santiago 28 8 5
9Matt Thornton 26 8 3
9Jesse Crain 26 10 7
11Zach Stewart 18 11 7
12Jose Quintana 15 12 8
13Eric Stults 7 120
14Dylan Axelrod 6 14 0
15Will Ohman 5 155

Jose Quintana and Zach Stewart got a nice boost thanks to John Danks' injury and shortened starts from others, and Jesse Crain got a lot of work in as well. Then there's Nathan Jones who does nothing but climb and climb in these rankings every week.

Hopefully it won't be too long until John Danks passes him up.

Last week's poll can be found here.
