Royals White Sox: Whither The White Sox Offense
There really isn't a whole lot to say about today's game. Well, actually, there's a lot that could be said about today's game, but to be completely honest, I'm just not in the mood. That game was crap, and the White Sox were crap for the last two days.
Phil Humber goes out and has his best game since his perfect game, and he's rewarded for it all with 1 run from his offense. He left the game with a 1-0 lead and then the bullpen proceeded to allow 9 runs in 2.3 innings. One of those runs was charged to Humber, but I don't blame him for it.
During the seventh inning of Friday night's win, Alejandro De Aza singled home Eduardo Escobar to make it 5-0. The Sox only managed 1 more run over the next 20 innings against the Royals.
The same Royals team that came in with the third-worst ERA in the American League.
What makes things even better is that ever since the White Sox won their first home series of the season against Detroit, they haven't won a series at home since. Nope, it's been Baltimore, Boston, Cleveland and now Kansas City taking series victories from the Sox at The Cell and they're now 6-11 at home.
Oh, and the Tigers come to town for two games starting on Monday.
