Indians 6 White Sox 3: At Least I Had Good Seats

It's hard for me to truly analyze this game since I didn't have a chance to really see how anybody was pitching or have the luxury of replay. Not to mention, you know, beer.

If you sit at home watching the game drinking, you're an alcoholic. But if you're at the park?

The biggest disappointment for me in this game was the fact that had the White Sox hit a home run in the third inning, I would have won a limo for a day. And I'd have made that limo do the most menial tasks. It would have been awesome.

Sadly, Brent Morel, Gordon Beckham and Alejandro De Aza batted in the third.

Then the fourth came and Adam Dunn was like "now's a good time to hit some dingers, since Tom can't win anything for it."

And then Carlos Santana hit a monster home run trying to win me a limo, but it was to no avail.

Seriously, though, I couldn't totally tell how Gordon Beckham messed up on a ground ball before the Santana home run, but from my vantage point it looked like he just decided not to actually bend over to get it.

As for the rest of this one, let's all hope Robin Ventura learned a valuable lesson about Will Ohman. I don't care if it's against a lineup that is nothing but lefties, Will Ohman pitches one inning max. That's it. Maybe an inning and a third if he gets through that first inning in under 10 pitches, but even that's sketchy.

Unfortunately Robin learned this lesson the hard way tonight.

First place belongs to Cleveland. For one night anyway.

  1. Hitting home runs with men on base is an interesting and foreign concept and I'd like to learn more about it.
