Orioles 10 White Sox 4: LOLWUT

I don't even know what to say about that one. Seriously, I don't. That was one of those games where you can't do much more but laugh. Hector Santiago showed us he was capable of allowing the long ball last week in Cleveland, but we ignored it because the Sox won anyway.

He then decided to drive the point home tonight.

This team is going to blow games once in a while, and more often than not against the Orioles because that's just the way seemingly every game against the Orioles has gone the last five years.

Personally I knew it was over when Adam Jones' homer tied it in the ninth, so all that fun stuff in the tenth inning, was just, well, it wasn't actually fun, but it wasn't horrible either.

What I do find funny was all the people in my timeline on Twitter who had been talking about how awesome Alejandro De Aza was for the first eight games suddenly telling me how terrible he is.

It's one game. That's it. The kind of game that happens to every team at some point in the season. It's when it becomes a trend that you should start getting angry.

Tonight, just laugh it off and hope the Sox win tomorrow.

  1. Lets keep in mind the Sox have scored more than 5 runs once so far this season, so the idea of coming back when down by more than a couple runs is pretty laughable. Everything about this team is mediocre, so when a couple components don't have a really good nite (bullpen & defense last nite) we really don't have a shot.

People really want this team to be better than last year so they can say 'See Ozzie, you're terrible and this team is good, you ruined 2011! Wahh! Aaron Rowand was the grindiest player of all time!' but the fact of the matter is this is the same team showing the same symptoms of mediocrity we've seen for a few years now.

The wins over the Tigers were nice, but we took 2 of three from the back end of a rotation of a team not known for their great starting pitching.

Feel free to vent about how much any player sucks, but no hate speech directed at anybody, be it a player or a fellow commenter.
