Jesse Crain Placed On The Disabled List
In a move that wasn't unexpected the White Sox placed Jesse Crain on the disabled list with a strained left oblique Friday. The move is retroactive to last Saturday April 21 which means he'll be eligible to come off the DL on April 36.
More commonly referred to as May 6.
The Sox called up Dylan Axelrod from Charlotte to replace Crain on the roster. Axelrod was being used as a starter with the Knights and has allowed 3 runs in 25 innings so far this season.
Last year Axelrod made three starts for the Sox, and appeared in four games allowing 6 runs in 18.2 innings.
