Game #17: White Sox at Athletics

WHITE SOX 10-6 Gavin Floyd 1-2 4.58 ERA 9:05 PM CT
ATHLETICS 8-10 Tommy Milone 2-1 2.84 ERA

More important than seeing the win streak extend another game, I'd like to see Gavin Floyd follow the example of Phil Humber and Jake Peavy before him tonight. The Sox are facing a soft-tossing lefty which generally means we're going to have problems scoring runs. Combine that with the fact that Oakland isn't an easy place to score a lot runs at night, and this has the feel of a the kind of game the Sox may have to scratch out 2-1.

Can Floyd be relied upon to hold down the Oakland offense? Well, honestly, if there's any offense that can cure Floyd's early season woes it's Oakland's. He just has to go out and do it.

Today's Bet: White Sox -111
Total: $104.20
