This game wasn't televised or on the radio, which makes it really hard to analyze anything that took place, but here's what I could figure out from the box score.
THOUGHTS AND THINGS
- Holy shit 17 hits. All the hits that the White Sox didn't have this week? Yeah, they saved them for Saturday night, and still lost. Brent Morel went 3-for-4 and is now hitting .533 this spring. Alexei Ramirez, Alejandro De Aza and Gordon Beckham each had two hits, and Tyler Flowers hit a three-run homer.
- Jordan Danks still has trouble making contact. In his three at bats tonight he struck out twice, but when he did make contact he doubled. Still, if he wants to make the roster, he's going to have to cut down on the strikeouts.
- Robin Ventura likes to run. I don't know if it's just the spring, or if Ventura plans on doing it during the regular season as well, but the Sox stole another two bases tonight. They tried three, but De Aza was thrown out. Bunts, stolen bases, why it's Robinball!
- Simon Castro had a bad night. The Sox took a 6-5 lead in the 8th inning, but Castro gave up a grand slam in the 9th to Cory Sullivan. Castro allowed 5 runs and 6 hits in 1.1 innings.
