Red Sox Still Interested In Gavin Floyd
Back in the long long ago of 2011, the White Sox had some discussions with the Red Sox about Gavin Floyd -- along with Carlos Quentin and John Danks -- but those talks didn't amount to much of anything. Danks re-signed, Quentin got shipped to San Diego, and Floyd remained in limbo.
Well, now that the Yankees have added Michael Pineda and Hiroki Kuroda, and a lot of once available pitchers are now off the market, it seems Boston is interested in Gavin again.
From the cell phone of Jon Morosi:
Whether this amounts to anything or not, I don't know. What I do know is that all had been quiet on the White Sox trade front for a few weeks when suddenly yesterday the news came that Floyd was still on the block, and now this.
So it's starting to look like Kenny's got his phone on again.
