Extra Innings: Halloween Edition

Adam Dunn dressed as a productive baseball player for Halloween!

Extra Innings is a link dump that will run every weekday evening that features news stories that The Asylum didn't get to that day, or just posts throughout the White Sox blogosphere that are worth your attention.

- The White Sox surprised me a bit this afternoon by picking up the $3.5 million option on Jason Frasor. A part of me wonders if they only did this to try and trade him this winter instead of just letting him go, but if the team ends up trading John Danks after giving Frasor $3.5 million, I'm going to be somewhat pissed. [MLB Trade Rumors]

- Not surprisingly, Jerry Reinsdorf would love to have Tony La Russa return to the White Sox. I'll remind you again, Jerry. I CAN SAY THE SAME THINGS LA RUSSA WILL FOR A LOT LESS. [Chicago Tribune]

- A couple of teams in the AL Central added some pitching depth today, as the Indians got Derek Lowe from the Braves... [Hardball Talk]

- ....and the Twins got Matt Maloney and former White Sox Jeff Gray off of waivers. [Star Tribune]
