Extra Innings: 10/5/11

Extra Innings is a link dump that will run every weekday evening that features news stories that The Asylum didn't get to that day, or just posts throughout the White Sox blogosphere that are worth your attention.

- Another great post from Jim, but I wish somebody told him he really didn't have to do all that research to come to the conclusion he placed in the post's title. [South Side Sox]

- Kenny may plan on having Chris Sale in the starting rotation next season, but Don Cooper says that no such decision has been made. [Inside The White Sox]

- Speaking of Don Cooper, he's all about the Terry Francona. [Chicago Sun-Times]

- Speaking of Terry Francona, he's all about Tim McCarver's minor heart procedure. Not because he's hoping Tim dies or anything, but because it's giving him a chance to show his broadcasting chops. [Big League Stew]

- Fegan is all about the White Sox giving the kids more chances. [White Sox Observer]

- And speaking of getting the kids more playing time, one way to get Tyler Flowers more at bats could be by using him at first to give Paulie a day off from time to time should Adam Dunn continue to be terrible at life. [Chicago Tribune]
